2022 Grenache Blanc
← Rall Wines
Donovan laments that “we don’t have old Grenache Blanc in South Africa. The oldest Grenache Blanc I knew of was 42 years old, but it was pulled out before I could get my hands on it.” A variety Donovan excels with, the 2022 is clean and stony, with hints of lemon drizzle, lime, and cool, freshly cut apples. An unoaked Grenache Blanc raised in concrete eggs with a small amount in amphora, it was bottled after six months to preserve freshness.
Reviews for 2022 Grenache Blanc
The 2022 Grenache Blanc is fermented in two concrete eggs and matured for eight months. It has an attractive bouquet with yellow fruit, patisserie, and touches of frangipane in the background. The palate is well-balanced with lime and yellow fruit on the entry, fine acidity and a harmonious, straightforward finish that lingers nicely in the mouth.
